Performance Culture is a collection of footwear that borrows adidas performance DNA and fuses them with the latest trends. The result is a celebration of adidas technical product in a wearable, everyday package.
As ourFootwear Designer for Performance Culture, you'll be expected to bring your own MVP performance to the tasks below.
Purpose:To create original design solutions of performance athletic footwear.?
Key Accountabilities:??
?? Designs products for footwear range based on input from product management.
?? Collects relevant information needed to design a consumer and market right sports collection.? This to include all possible sources to gain this information:
???????*? Trade publications, trade fairs, sports events
???????*? General interest press, trend services, fashion and sportswear magazines
???????*? Store checks, market visits, team travel
???????*? Collaborate with marketing to remain informed of current trends and market needs.
?? Produces trend and travel reports for other members of the design team
?? Designs collections by hand sketching and using of other design computers/software.
?? Creates working drawings and colored sketches.
?? Creates inspiration/presentations.? Show creative output.
??? Hands off designs to development and communicates all relevant information needed for development process.
?? Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
?? Computer skills (Prima Vision, Apple Mac, Freehand, PhotoShop)
?? Knowledge of functional sportswear products
?? Knowledge of footwear construction and materials
?? Ability to work with cross-functional teams
?? Ability to create designs that meet sports category needs and commercial opportunities
?? Ability to design for new initiatives and products with a fresh, innovative perspective
?? Knowledge of consumer trends and styles.
?? Ability to operate in a fast past, ever changing work environment.
Qualifications:
?? Four year college or university degree in industrial, apparel or footwear design
?? Three years relevant work experience
?? Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.
